How to help:

450 dollars is enough to guarantee a child a middle school education and a key step to helping the student and their families escape the cycle of poverty.

Simply giving money directly to the families is an unsustainable way of helping the community; the funds will quickly run out without a specific long-term purpose. Instead, we have decided through our experiences that funding an education for these children would be the best asset in the community. With an education, these students will be able to offer assistance to their families, have improved career opportunities, and ultimately gain greater chances for long-term success.

General School Costs for a Ngobe Child:

Shoes $20

Uniforms $25

Books $35-45

Tuition: $300 (elementary school); $450 (middle school); $550 (high school)

Donation Process:

For a direct donation, please use the safe and secure TeamRaiser Site. It is a donating site through which WorldLearning and FewForChange receive tax-deductible donations. We are extremely excited about this partnership as it will facillitate the transfer of funds to their ultimate destination!

The money is handled by WorldLearning, the corporation in charge of our study abroad program and numerous others. The donations will be directly used. No money will be used to pay for travel costs or otherwise; we want all the money to be for their future.
